Hi! My name is Anna-Karin and I am so happy to be on the Sizzix Design Team. I have been doing arts and crafts my whole life, but papercrafting is the one that has totally captured my heart and mind. It started with cardmaking in 2002, when I got the idea of making my own Christmas cards. Two years later, I also began to scrapbook and I enjoy switching between the differently sized space of a card and a scrapbooking layout, and to do the occasional off the page and altered project. I love trying out new and old techniques, to experiment and try different products and tools. My hands are ink stained almost daily. I stamp on basically all my projects and I also like to include little meaningful details. It is wonderful to think about all the things you can create out of only stamps, paper, die cuts, and ink. The possibilities are truly endless.
I use the Big Shot and I love the Alterations dies and texture fades, and all the other dies and embossing folders. I really can’t pick a favourite. I am always on the lookout for new surfaces to die cut and new techniques to test. Building little scenes, playing with texture and colours and doing all kinds of stamping related techniques are some of my favourite things.
- Sizzix Machines: Big Shot
- Sizzix Favorites: Dot-Matrix texture fade, Artful Dwellings die, Branch Tree, Mini Hearts, On the Fence, Vintage Lace
- Sizzix Wish List: Word Play, Tag & Tie, Vintage Alarm Clock & Camera, Bubble & Honeycomb texture fades
- Sizzix Tip: Try to use a die in many different ways. Use only a part of the die (the Branch Tree die can make a whole bunch of different looking smaller branches, perfect as homes for little birds, for example), or combine one die with another to get a totally different look.
