Father's Day Stamp2Cut Card

Hello, Richele here today.

I'm very excited to share this Father's Day Card with you that I made with my eclips and Stamp2cut. If you're not familiar with Stamp2cut see Tim's video here, it's amazing. Sizzix has lots of videos for the eclips to help educate everyone on how to use it, from taking it out of the box to changing the blade, or just cutting a shape. It's fabulous!

Sizzix Die Cutting Tutorial: Father's Day Stamp2Cut Card by Richele Christensen

To make this card we'll be using Cartridge 21, the eclips and the Compass Texture Fades.

Stamp the Globe 3 times onto watercolor paper with jet black Archival ink. Place watercolor paper onto the cutting mat. Position overlay and add register marks with a pen.

Cut all your pieces out with Stamp2cut. Did you know Stamp2cut can cut several shapes from the same image? The globe we are working on today has several cuts. the full image, the globe, the land and the word globe. Amazing! Just select pieces on the left of your hand held screen. After locating the register marks your ready to CUT. So easy!

Using the spatula tool makes it very easy to remove your cut pieces from the cutting mat.

Here are the pieces we will need for our card.

Color your pieces by applying Distress Stain directly to your craft sheet. Pick up the ink with a detail water brush and color as desired.

Emboss a brown piece of Kraft'Core with the Compass Texture fade. Sand and distress the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink on an Ink Blending tool.

Adhere the embossed background piece to the base card. Pop dot the layers of the globe to the card. Add Idea-ology embellishments like photo corners, alpha cards, compass coins, game spinners and word band.

I love the dimension that is created by the layers. Dad is sure to be impressed.

For the inside of the card I stamped out this message "you mean the world to me" and added a little die cut heart. The heart is from the Love Struck Movers and Shapers set. The perfect touch let Dad know how much you love him.

Father's Day is just a week away and what Dad wouldn't love a hand made card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
