Celebrate Today and Everyday Card Tutorial

Hi everyone! Gretchen here bringing you a new tutorial creating this Celebrate Today and Everyday birthday card.

Fun on the outside and the inside! Your recipient will love it!

Start with a card base that is 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” with a vertical fold. Use the Chevron TI folder from the Chevrons & Flourishes Textured Impressions set and emboss the front of your card.

Die cut a scallop border using the Borders and Hydrangeas Bigz die. You will need to trim the length down to 4-1/4" long.

Layer a piece of cardstock the same color as your background card behind the scallop border so when turned over, that color will show through.

Start decorating the front of your card. Cut a piece of patterned paper that is 4-1/4” x 2-1/2” and glue to the bottom portion of your card. Stamp sentiment on a piece of white cardstock that is 4-1/4” x approximately 1”. Layer the border and sentiment onto card front and glue down as shown in example.

Create five candles by cutting strips that are approximately 2” x 1/4”.  Die cut one flower using the Noel Sizzlits set. To create the flames of the candle, cut the flower petals out, mimicking the curves of the tip of the petals.

Trim candles to stagger the height and tuck the ends underneath the sentiment. Add flames to the top of each candle using Glue Dots.

The front of your card is officially done! :-)

It’s time to create the PNC base for the inside of your card. Place your Pop `n Cuts Label Insert in your PNC base tray and line up the tick marks. Cut a piece of patterned paper to 4” x 10-3/4”. Your paper will be smaller than the card base cutting area. Lay your paper on top of your PNC base, make sure there is a slight border around your paper in between the cutting area. Sandwich your die with extended cutting pads and run through your Big Shot die cutting machine.

Adhere PNC Label card base to the inside of your main card base.

Stamp and cut a cupcake. Decorate as desired.

Adhere cupcake to PNC Label. Create a second scallop border with cardstock backing and adhere to inside of card. Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock that is 4-1/4” x 1/2” and glue down on top of scallop border. Cut a thin strip of cardstock to match your scallop border that is 4-1/4” long and tuck underneath sentiment.

Your Celebrate Today and Everyday card if officially done. Make sure to send it off to someone special and help them have a very happy birthday!
