Just for You Cone Gift Bag

Hello, Friends!

Are you having a party soon?  If yes, you'll want to create this cone gift bag!  Beth created a beautiful party favor using this die!  :)

Instructions:

Cover a piece of mat board with patterned paper. Die-cut a Cone out of paper-covered mat board. Fold along score lines to assemble and secure in place using extra-strong bond, double-sided adhesive. Die-cut the bottom inside of the Cone and secure in place. Die-cut the top border of the Cone from white mat board and adhere to the cone. Embellish a flower with glitter and a large decorative button or brad and adhere to the Cone. Stamp a sentiment onto patterned paper, trim to size, embellish with ink and twine and attach to the Cone. Add a ribbon for hanging by attaching a length of ribbon on opposite ends at the opening of the Cone. For a festive flair, wrap the gift in a piece of lace and place inside the Cone.

Table with Embossed Tiles

Hello, Friends!

This table was the talk of the town at our last tradeshow!  Debi Adams created it using embossing folders!  Isn't it amazing?!?

Instructions:

Find a table with a lip along its edges that has the ability to have an interchangeable table top or one with removable glass. Using a circular saw, cut 1/2" thick plywood to fit on top of a table and set aside. Using a table saw, cut rectangle and square shapes from thin 1/2" pieces of plywood and set aside. Emboss thin craft metal using Textured Impressions embossing folders. Paint the embossed craft metal sheets using a variety of color coordinating acrylic paints and distress to highlight the raised designs. Adhere the embossed craft metal pieces to the wood rectangle and square wood shapes using a construction adhesive (like Liquid Nails) and trim away any excess using metal cutting shears to form tiles. Arrange the tiles on a wooden table top and attach using a construction adhesive. Make sure to leave room for grout to be applied between the tiles. Once the construction adhesive is dry, cut around any excess tiles from table top. Place table top in table. Apply grout. Let dry and apply an acrylic sealer.

Daisy Tag

Hello, Friends!

Here's an adorable tag by Gretchen Schmidt.   I love how clean the design is!  And...it's interactive!  :)

Instructions -
Create a large tag. Cut a rectangle out of cardstock to fit into the main portion of the tag as shown in the example and glue down. Add a strip of patterned paper to fit on the left side of the rectangle piece and then outline entire piece. Stamp “to” and “from” on the top portion of the rectangle. Use various pieces of patterned paper to create your Flip-Up Flower according to the die cut directions and add it to the front of the tag. Add a stamped sentiment to the inside center portion of the flower if desired. Use the Swirl Sizzlet to create two swirls to ad to either side of the Flower Flip-Up. Tie ribbon through tag hole.

Wish Card

Hello, Friends!

Wow, we are busy at Sizzix!  The HUGE tradeshow, CHA is right around the corner.  We are busy getting the final details together, and I'm busy packing the rest of my kits for a class I'm teaching on Saturday.  We are SO excited to share the wonderful products we will be releasing soon!  Be sure to check in on our blog and our Facebook page, starting this weekend for up-to-the-minute news!  :)

In the meantime, my good friend Jeanne Streiff is here with another wonderful card!  :)
Instructions:

Emboss the card back with 656225 Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine using the large folder in Sizzix Textured Impression 656983 Thank You #5 set. I stamped the image in Colorbox Premium Dye Ink (Sky) on white cardstock. I used a fine black pen to color in the Wish sentiment and added dots around edge. Fuschia Flower Soft was added to the flower for texture. I matted the image on a die cut made with a 657575 Sizzix Framelits Fancy Label dies. I finished off the card with a pretty white bow.

Fly Away!

Hello, Friends!

As you know, I do a lot of traveling for Sizzix.  (I just got back from MN and I'll be going to the UK next month).  This layout by Debi would be great for one of my trips!

Instructions:
Create a scrapbook page base from a sheet of cardstock; ink edges. Arrange a variety of travel memorabilia including a map, a printed itinerary (or patterned papers), an Air Mail envelope and colored cardstock adhere in place on the page. Crop photos to size, mat on cardstock and adhere to the page. If desired, embellish with stitching, Cut an "Airplane #3", "Compass", circles from "Star Circle", "Gear #2" and lowercase letters spelling out "fly away" as well as three sets of "Equal Signs" from cardstock and patterned paper using the eclips machine and Wander Cartridge. Layer colors to assemble, embellish with black pen, ink and buttons. Attach the shapes to the card using foam dots to give dimension to select shapes. The equal signs become the dash marks behind the airplane.
