I had such a good time making this card. I love how fun, bright, and festive it turned out.
To start, insert your Noel PNC insert into your PNC card base and line up the tick marks. Add your cardstock
over the die cutting surface, sandwich everything up with your extended plates and run through your Big Shot Machine. Fold PNC insert according to package directions.
Cut a piece of cardstock to 4-1/4” x 6” using the same color of paper as the
Noel PNC card base. Working with the 6” portion, score your card front 2” in.
This piece will cover the opening of the PNC.
Using the two small snowflakes and circle stamps from the Merry Christmas
Tree set, stamp randomly, using various colors, onto the inside of the Noel PNC
card base and what will be the front portion of your card (the 4-1/4” x 4”
section on your piece of cardstock you scored).
Adhere second piece of paper to your PNC Noel base. Line up the folds and glue
down the bottom portion first and then the top portion, being careful not to get
adhesive in any openings. This card is a 90 degree card when opened.
To create your tree, stamp using the Merry Christmas Tree large tree stamp onto
patterned paper. Die cut the tree using the matching tree Framelits die. Stamp
ornaments and solid circles from this same set in various colors. Die cut using the matching circle framelits that come with the set.
Add your ornaments to your tree using pop dots. Add the solid circles you
created directly to the tree. Add various gems to the rest of the circle
openings from the stamped image. Use a marker to outline your tree edge in
black.
Stamp Merry Christmas from the Merry Christmas Tree set and die cut using the
matching Framelits.
Die cut a 4-1/4” x 2” piece of coordinating pattered paper, round the edges using
your PNC base (just lay the paper on the end of the cut area and when you run it
through your machine, the two points will be rounded off). Adhere to the card
front. Cut a thin red strip that is 4-1/4” x 1/4” and glue down over the
patterned paper. Add your tree and sentiment. Use a marker to outline your card
front edge in black.
For the inside of your card, cut out Noel using the Noel Sizzlits Set. It is made to fit inside the Noel PNC
insert perfectly! Also stamp three small ornaments and one larger ornament from
the Merry Christmas set and cut out using the matching framelits.
Cut another 4-1/4” x 2” piece of coordinating pattered paper and round the
edges using your PNC base. Glue down to the bottom portion of your card. Cut a
thin red strip that is 4-1/4” x 1/4” and glue down over the patterned paper. Add
an ornament on the red strip, towards the right hand side.
Glue down the Noel phrase on top of the Noel PNC portion. Adhere the three
ornaments to the top portion of your card, on the upper right hand side as
shown, use a black pen to create the look of string. Use a marker to outline
your inside card edges in black.
You know have a very sparkly and merry card to give a friend or loved
one!
