I'm so excited to show you my project this month! I've used a few NEW dies from the Tim Holtz Alterations line. I love these new dies and I'm sure you will too!

If you're like me you love to wrap presents. What better way then to handcraft your own using Sizzix dies! This little Pillow Box Bigz Die fits a gift card and is perfect for the gift giving season.
First die cut the Pillow box from Kraft card stock. Don't forget when using dies that have cuts and scores it's best to use a crease pad to insure a good die cut. After die cutting, fold all of the score lines before embossing which will make them easier to fold after you've embossed.
Emboss the front panel of the pillow box with the Flourish Texture Fade.
Ink the raised area of the embossed Flourish with Vintage Photo Distress Ink on an Ink Blending tool. Assemble the box by adhering the tab on the side of the box and closing the ends. Ink all the edges darker with Vintage Photo.
Die cut the Tattered Poinsettias from Kraft'core card stock. Don't forget to die cut some petals using green Kraft'core for the leaves. After die cutting, use a Sanding Block to sand the outer edges of the petals. Ink the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink on an Ink Blending tool. Paint the petals with Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles and let dry. The Distress Stickles adds a little sugar coating and gives a vintage feel.
Assemble the Tattered Poinsettias by punching a small hole in the center and adding a Custom Fastener from the Idea-ology line. Tie paper twine around the pillow box and glue the Poinsettia in the center. Add one of the little tags from the die to label your gift. Who wouldn't love to get a beautiful gift like this?
Thanks for stopping by!
