Die Cutting Paper: A Creative Retreat In Italy

Greetings from Bellagio Italy!  For the past week I have been in Bellagio Italy teaching at A Kiss on the Chic's Bellagio Retreat.  To say it has been an absolutely amazing expirience is an understatement!  Being in class and looking out the window looking out over Lake Como has been so breathtaking!

Students at the retreat came from the United States and Europe.  They had classes taught by Lisa Pace, Stayce DeWid, Laura McCollough, and myself.

They made journals, jewelry, a frame, and a mini suitcase project with a mini accordion album inside.

The projects also featured several Sizzix dies.  Lisa Pace taught a class that featured oval and scallop oval Framelits dies as the base for a floral bib necklace.  I taught a frame class that featured Eileen Hull's Frame & Frame Back with Stand Pro Die and a suitcase with a mini accordion project featuring the Eileen Hull Suitcase Die, the Tim Holtz Vintage Valise and Tiny Tags dies.

Here is a peek at some of the finished suitcases by the students.

And all of them stacked up in honor of the famous lost luggage art at the Sacramento airport.  Could these little mini suitcases stacked up be any cuter?

My class projects featured the new Vintage Chic paper collection by Heidi Swapp.  The suitcase and frame were both cut from Sizzix Little Sizzles Mat Board.

Lisa Pace's bib necklace project featured Framelits oval and scallop oval dies.  She included lots of fun flowers and trims by Maya Road along with vintage elements.

Many thanks to both Sizzix and Heidi Swapp and Pink Paislee for sponsoring my classes and to Laura McCollough at A Kiss on the Chic Creative Retreats for inviting me to attend and teach.  Be sure to check out her website October 1st for her announcement about next year's event.
