Caddy Die, die cut the caddy from cream Mat Board.
Die cut the caddy two more times from your choice of patterned paper. You will not need but one of the scored pieces (the one you add the double back tape to) if you only want to cut one of them, you will need two of the other piece for the front and back. Now, take the scored patterned paper piece and cut it apart to fit onto the piece that you cut from the Mat Board. You are basically cutting on the scored lines and piecing it together however, if you wanted, you can just put the whole piece onto the Mat Board instead of piecing it together.
Using the patterned paper pieces machine stitch around the front and back caddy pieces and the pieces you just cut apart. Adhere the front and back patterned paper pieces to the front and back of the Mat Board piece. Adhere the patterned paper pieces to the sides and front of caddy from Mat Board. Adhere the caddy together by removing the backing from the double back tape.
We are ready to assemble the bow... using the Create-a-Bow Die, die cut seven medium and five small strips (I did not use the largest strip) from patterned paper... I used an old crochet pattern sheet. My photo only shows five medium but, I added two more strips. Starting with a small strip, fold like a collar and run it thru a brad repeating with the next four small strips then, add the seven medium strips. I added a small piece of lace to the brad before putting the first strip on. You can find the complete more detailed instructions HERE.
Adere the bow to the right upper corner of caddy as shown in the photo. Cut two small pieces (about 2") from fabric tape, cut the ends as shown in photo and adhere to the upper left corner of caddy tucking them under the bow.
Ink around edges of a Scrabble tile (the letter U) and adhere a XOXO Chit Chat sticker at the bottom of tile. Adhere at the bottom edge of caddy. Adhere a pearl to the top of caddy just above the handle.
I used three small glassine bags, inserted matching patterned paper into them and a chocolate in each bag. I then tucked in a little tag that has been embossed with "Thank You" from the Thank You Set #5 Embossing Folders and applying some ink to the raised portion.
I hope you enjoyed the tutorial today... have a fabulous rest of the week!
