Pop `N Cuts Love Card

I wanted to share a fun card showcasing Karen Burniston’s new Pop `n Cut system. These awesome new dies will be available later this spring.

To create the card front, cut cardstock using the base tray that comes with the Pop ‘N Cuts system. Cut some patterned paper smaller than the card front and round the corners on the right hand side with a corner rounder. Add a strip of red paper towards the bottom as as shown.

Use white cardstock to cut the word love from the Sizzlit die. For the heart, layer white cardstock and patterned paper onto your Movers & Shapers die before running it through your Big Shot machine. This way you will get the two pieces you need at one time. Add the word and heart to the front of your card as shown. Wait to tie the ribbon until the end.

Tip: You can use your Pop `N Cut base tray to cut your Movers & Shapers die. You can also cut more than one at a time if you need too.

For the inside, use your Hearts Winged 3-D Magnetic insert in your Pop `N Cut base (they are easily interchangeable) and cut the shape using red patterned paper. Trim the edges as shown and adhere to the inside of your card (make sure not to add adhesive to the part that will pop up). Use your base tray to cut a piece of striped patterned paper to decorate the inside of your card. Cut paper to the desired width and adhere to the inside of your card as shown. Tie ribbon onto card front, overlapping the seems of your paper on the inside just a bit.

Tip: Using the base tray gives you rounded corners for a perfect fit.

To decorate the pop-up heart on the inside of the card, use your Heart & Wing Movers & Shapers die. Cut your heart piece as before, layering a piece of white cardstock and patterned paper on the die before cutting. Glue them to the pop-up heart. For the wings, fold a piece of patterned paper in half that is approximately 5” x 1-1/2”. Cut wings and glue to card front. Cut one more heart out of white cardstock to adhere to the smaller heart on the right hand side.

Tip: Folding the paper in half and cutting the wings at one time will make sure your patterned paper goes in the same direction.

I can’t tell you how easy using the Pop `N Cut system is to use… you’re going to love it!

Please note, Pop 'N Cuts Dies are scheduled to ship by June.
