Are you ready for some weekend crafting inspiration? I had a great time searching for fun and inspiring Sizzix projects to share with you this week and absolutely love all that I found!
I spotted this card by Leslie Miller on Pinterest. It features the wreath embossing folder from the Birds & Wreath Textured Impressions set. When I went to check it out on her blog, I discovered that she had also made a matching envelope too! I love the idea of a matching card. You can find this set on Leslie's blog at
This set of cards created by Jennifer McGuire features the Sizzix Hero Arts Garden Flowers Stamp and Framelits set. She shared the cards in the top image this week on the Hero Arts blog and the card in the bottom photograph on her blog. I love how Jennifer create two very different sets of cards from the same stamp. You can find Jennifer's blog at http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/.
I happened on a jaw dropping project online by Jim, the Gentleman Crafter (sorry, I don't know his real name). His blog is full of seriously amazing projects. I found myself saying "wow" over and over again. I really loved these metal flowers that he created from aluminum cans. He shares a tutorial on his blog for them here: http://thegentlemancrafter.typepad.com/the-gentleman-crafter/2012/01/monster-flowers.html. While you are there, spend some time looking around, you will be amazed!
Last month at CHA I was helping unpack samples in Tim Holtz's Idea-ology booth and opened the package that had Anna Dabrowska's (aka Finnabair) samples in it. If you have admired her work online, you simply can not even fathom how incredible it is in person. I know I stood there with my mouth hanging open. Imagine how excited I was this week when she posted for the first time on the Sizzix UK blog as a new team member there! I simply can not wait to see what she creates with Sizzix products! You can find more details about this project on the Sizzix UK blog and on Finnabair's blog here: http://tworzysko.blogspot.com/2012/02/moja-przygoda-z-sizzixem-my-sizzix.html. She is on Pinterest too if you are interested in following her pins: http://pinterest.com/finnabair/ .
This week I spent some time browsing the gallery at Two Peas in a Bucket, where I found the work of member Happy Life Crafty Wife, otherwise known as Tamara Tripodi. Tamara is a huge fan of the eclips and has tons of fun projects featuring the eclips and SVG Cuts. I love the scrapbook page show above where she uses her eclips to cut design elements out of her photo. She shares how she does that in this post: http://happylifecraftywife.com/?p=1160. Be sure and spend some time looking through her blog for more great inspiration for pages, cards, projects, and more! http://happylifecraftywife.com/
Sonia Holland aka greenleafink at Two Peas is another I Spy gallery find this week. I love how elegant this card is that she created with a Karen Burniston Pop Up die. She has several views and details about making the card on her blog at http://greenleafink.ca/?p=755.
Finally this week, a little Easter inspiration from Pam Hooten. This project has me all inspired to start thinking about some fun little Easter and spring projects. You can find out how she made this cute and easy treat holder on her blog at http://www.pamhooten.blogspot.com/2012/02/easter-tag-candy-holder.html.
How was that for a cool and eclectic mix of projects and ideas? I hope it has given you an idea or two that you can use this weekend or in the week ahead! Don't forget, we are on Pinterest pinning great Sizzix projects all week long if you need more inspiration before next Saturday.
Wanna be spied? We are spying on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and on Flickr as well as surfing around the world wide web. This week we also spied a bit in the gallery at Two Peas In A Bucket and through Google. We would love to spy your art too! You can help us find you by mentioning Sizzix in your tagging, supplies, keywords, hashtags, pin descriptions, etc.
