Now that the holidays are over, it's time to start thinking about everyday type of projects! :) Here's a great Pop Up Card by Gretchen Schmidt. I love Pop Ups! They are so unexpected, so the recipient is sure to fall in love! :)
Directions:
Outside: Decorate a 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” card base with two coordinating pieces of patterned paper as shown in example. On the upper strip of patterned paper, create a border using the Scallops Edge Die. Stamp sentiment above the patterned paper, on the right hand side of your card. Outline card using a black pen. They cherry will get added last.
Inside: Create border strips for the top and bottom portions of your card using coordinating paper paper, use the Scallop Edge Die again on the patterned paper piece that are closest to the center and glue all pieces down. Stamp sentiment on the lower portion of your card as shown. Outline the inside of the card using a black pen. Create cupcake pieces (cut two cherries and stems) using matching papers. Assemble cupcake according to die directions and adhere to the inside of your card using a strong adhesive. Attach stems to cherries, use a white pen to highlight them slightly, fold one of the cherries at the crease. Glue the cherry you folded to your cupcake top and the other one to the front of your card to finish it it off.
Supplies:
Other: cardstock, patterned paper, stamps, black pen, stamping ink, white pen.
Happy Crafting!
Hugs,
Stephanie
