Happy Holidays Card

Hello, Friends!

This card is sure to impress!  What a great way to start the holidays!

Instructions:

Cut a piece of cardstock to size and fold to form card base. Cut pieces of patterned paper and decorative trim to fit on the front of the card and adhere in place. Die-cut the Phrase, Happy Holidays from cardstock and embellish with ink. Adhere to the card front. Die-cut the flourish from cardstock, embellish with glitter and attach to the card front. Embellish ends of banner with string bow and a small length of beads for sparkle.

Check out this incredible card by Deena.  Imagine getting this card mailed to you!  Or, better yet, make them yourself this year!

Instructions:



Die-cut an Ornate Card #3 from white cardstock and fold along crease lines to assemble. Die-cut just the front portion of the card from patterned paper, trim to size and adhere to the card. Cut a piece of patterned paper to fit inside the bottom of the inside of the card to peek under the scallops on the front of the card. Die-cut a Snowflake from cardstock, align the corresponding embossing folder over the shape and roll through the machine to emboss. Buff with a sanding block to highlight the raised designs and adhere to the card front. Wrap a ribbon around the card and tie in a bow. Print a sentiment on cardstock, trim to size, ink edges and attach to the bow with string. Embellish with a small ribbon bow.

Christmas Paper Chain

Hello, Friends!

Christmas decorations will never be the same again! Can you believe how beautiful this paper chain by Deena is?!?

Instructions:

Die-cut several Christmas Paper Chain w/Holly Flourish from patterned paper. Embellish edges with glitter and let dry Insert flap into the slot to form a ring. Repeat steps to form rings, interlocking rings to form a chain.

I'm Stuffed!

Hello, Friends!

Wow, I don't know about you, but I don't think I can eat one more bite!  (Well, I take that back, there is a piece of pumpkin pie downstairs calling me....)  ;)

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.  I got to spend the day with surrounded by family.  What a wonderful feeling!  AND, my incredible 11 month old nephew brightened everyone's day!  ;)

So now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, it's time to think about Christmas!  (And NO, I'm not out shopping today!)  ;)



Here's a stunning card by Deena that is sure to impress!

Instructions:

Do you have a few minutes to spare?  If yes, you might want to create this adorable pumpkin by Debi for your Thanksgiving table! 

Instructions:

Die-cut two Pumpkins from fabric and sew together leaving room for stuffing and a wooden stem. Insert stuffing and stitch the opening closed. If desired, embellish with splattered paint. Embellish with a raffia bow. Die-cut branches (from the Tattered Pinecone die) out of cardstock and attach to the Pumpkin. Embellish with a button.

Happy Thanksgiving Card

Hello, Friends!

Thanksgiving is almost here!  (Darn, gotta start cleaning the house!)  We always have our family over for Thanksgiving.  Luckily, my job is to entertain, and my hubby does all the cooking.  Yum!  ;)

This card by Cara sure gets me ready to start eating!

Instructions:


Cut a piece of cardstock to size and fold to form card base. Cut a piece of burlap to fit across the left third of the card and adhere in place. Print a vintage Postcard template from the Vintage Scrapbooking blog. Trim to size and embellish by crinkling and tea staining. Attach to the card front. Wrap a ribbon around the card front and tie in a knot. Print a sentiment onto cardstock and die-cut using the Mini Ticket Movers & Shapers magnetic die and Base Tray. Attach the ticket to the card front. Die-cut an acorn, leaves and branches from cardstock and distress by inking and sanding. Attach to the card front. Embellish with a button.

Faith - Harvest - Love - Autumn Card

Hello, Friends!

Debi is sharing a beautiful fall card with us today.  It sure gets me into the Thanksgiving mood!  :)

Instructions:
Cut a piece of patterned paper to size and fold to form card base. Cut a strip of cardstock and a piece of corrugated cardboard to fit across the middle of the card, embellish the cardboard with paint and adhere the materials in place. Die-cut the Distressed Doily from cardstock, embellish with ink and attach to the card front. Emboss a piece of cardstock using the Thankful Print embossing folder. Run a brayer through white paint and roll over the embossed paper to highlight the raised design and let dry. Once dry, embellish with ink and attach to the card front. Die-cut leaves out of cardstock using the base tray and Mini Tattered Leaves Movers & Shapers magnetic die set and attach to the card front. Die-cut additional leaves (from the Tattered Pinecone die) out of cardstock and attach to the card front. Embellish with ribbon bows, threaded buttons and a 3-D paper flower.

Hello Friends!

Check this out!  Have you ever seen the Photo Wheel Die in action?  Check out this great card by Gretchen Schmidt!

Instructions -

Outside: Create a card base out of white cardstock that is 5-1/2” x 5-1/2”. Trim a 4” x 6” photo to fit onto the right hand side of the card. Fill the remaining space on the left side with patterned paper. Print out “thank you” onto white cardstock, cut out and mount onto coordinating patterned paper. Glue sentiment to the lower right hand side of the card as shown in example. Use a small circle punch to punch out a coordinating piece of patterned paper to overlap the sentiment.

Inside: Layer a piece of patterned paper to the right side of your card. Use the Photo Wheel die with white cardstock to create your two wheel pieces. Decorate the top piece of the photo wheel with a strip of patterned paper (make sure to remake the center hole if it gets covered up). Trim around edges using scissors. Print saying or sentiment, cut out, and glue down as desired. Use a circle punch with coordinating cardstock again and add three punch outs to help decorate your wheel front. Add photos to bottom piece of photo wheel and assemble everything according to die directions. Glue photo wheel to the right hand side of your card.

Happy Birthday Card

Hello, Friends!

We are so lucky!  Gretchen Schmidt is back to share this great Birthday Card!  :)

Instructions -

 

Outside: Create a  4-1/4” x 5- 1/2” card base out of white cardstock.* Layer three pieces of patterned papers on the front of card as shown. Stamp cupcake image onto cardstock and use a circle punch to cut it out. Layer onto a slightly larger circle piece and carefully stamp sentiment. Glue onto card front.

 

Inside: Create the Gift Card Holder using patterned papers as directed according to package directions and add to the inside of the card using a strong adhesive. Glue down two coordinating paper strips on the lower half of the card, towards the top to cover up the tabs. Use your Gift Card Holder die to create a second label out of white cardstock. Stamp cupcake liner and cupcake top on matching pieces of paper, cut out, and glue them down onto the right hand side of the label die piece, letting a bit hang off the top. Stamp sentiment on the left hand side of the label. Glue entire piece to the front of the Gift Card Holder die as shown.

 

*Use mat board to help everything lay flat if desired. Layer a piece of mat board on the front and then cover with the patterned paper. Layer a piece on the back side of the card.

I hope you had a wonderful time on 11/11/11 celebrating our Veterans  and joining in on the Blog Hop!  What an amazing journey checking out all the wonderful cards!  :)  A special thank you to Operation Write Home for organizing the hop!

During the Hop, I was actually in Seattle, at the Creating Keepsakes Convention.  Imagine my surprise when many people came up to me asking when we released our Framelits dies.  ;)

I guess I was just a little surprised that everyone didn't know about them!  :)  They seem to be my 'go to' dies lately!  Why?  Because you can see exactly where you are cutting, so they are GREAT with stamps!

Here's a great project by Cara that shows off using the scalloped circle Framelits.

Instructions:
Cut a Lunch Bag out of patterned paper using the eclips machine and Albums, Bags & Boxes Cartridge. Fold along score lines of the Box and assemble. Cut a piece of cardstock to fit across the bottom of the Bag, stamp with a sentiment and adhere in place. Die-cut a border of your choice from cardstock, trim away excess and adhere along the base of the bag. Die-cut Scallop Circles from a variety of color-coordinated cardstock. Stack the Scallop Circles for an amazing 3-D effect and adhere in place to form a flower. Embellish flower center with a button and string. Cut a length of ribbon to form the stem and adhere to the Bag. Place treats in Bag and secure closed with a ribbon bow.

Happy Birthday Card

Hello, Friends!

Gretchen is sharing with us today a great Happy Birthday card.  :)  You can never have too many of these laying around, right?!?  ;)

 

Instructions -

Outside: Start with a 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” card base. Cut three white paper strip pieces to fit the front of your card and glue down as shown. Use black chalk ink to ink edges. Use coordinating cardstock to punch out a circle and scallop, ink edges of each and glue them down towards the bottom right corner of the card front as shown in example. Once you cut the cherry on the “inside of the card” step, you can come back and glue it into the circle on the front.

Inside: Cut two coordinating pieces of patterned paper to fit into the inside of the opened card, towards the bottom. Create a border on the top piece and bottom piece using a border punch or die cut. Glue down into the inside of the card towards the bottom as shown. Ink edges of card with black chalk ink. Use various patterned papers and cardstock to create the pieces needed for the cupcake (cut two cherries, one for the inside and one for the outside of the card). Fold and assemble pieces according to die instructions and adhere to the center crease of your card using a strong adhesive. Don’t forget to add the cherry to the top of the cupcake and the front of your card!

Let it Snow Card

Hello, Friends!

It's been raining lately in Sunny Southern California.  In fact, our local mountains even have a little bit of snow on the top!  This card by Deena is perfect for days like today!  :)

Instructions:
Cut a piece of cardstock to size and fold to form card base. Emboss a piece of patterned paper using the Sheet Music #2 embossing folder. Embellish with ink to highlight the raised design. Trim embossed paper to size, mat on cardstock and attach to the card base. Emboss a piece of white cardstock using the Ornate Swirls embossing folder. Trim embossed paper to size, stamp with a sentiment and attach to the card base. Die-cut a Label from white cardstock and emboss using the Botanicals embossing folder. Embellish with glitter and a small wreath and attach to the card. Embellish with a ribbon bow, button and string.
