I {Heart} U

Hello, Friends!

My friend Gretchen Schmidt is back with a great I {heart} U card.  I'm sure you are thinking I'm off my rocker to show a "heart" card this time of year....But, when was the last time you told your special someone that you loved them? ;)

Instructions -
Use your Hearts-A-Plenty die with various patterned papers and cardstock  to create the pieces you’ll need for your card. Set aside until needed.
Outside: Create a 5-1/4” x 5-1/4” card base. Glue a 5” x 5” piece of patterned paper to the front of card. Outline in black. Cut green, white, and pink cardstock strips to fit the front of your card as shown. Use a border punch to add extra detail to the bottom of the pink piece. Assemble all three pieces on card front and glue down. Use the Butterfly Kisses font to create an “i” and “u.” Outline the two letters and one of the heart pieces you previously cut with a black pen and glue down to the front of the card.
Inside: Cut green, white, and pink cardstock strips to fit on the right and left edges of the card, you will need two of each color. Use a border punch to add extra detail to a side of each of the the pink pieces. Glue down paper strips to either side of the card as shown in example. Outline entire card using a black pen. Outline the heart pieces that make the center from the Hearts-A-Plenty die, assemble all die pieces according to die directions. Use a strong adhesive to add assembled die pieces to the center of your card. Stamp sentiments onto white cardstock, cut out, outline in black, and glue to center heart and bottom right of the card as shown.
Other: cardstock, patterned papers, stamps (love2hug, The Stamps of Life), black ink, border punch.
Happy Crafting!
