Here's a great pop up card by Gretchen Schmidt. I love how interactive pop up cards are!
Outside: Start with a 5-1/2” x 5-1/2” card base. Decorate front with various patterned papers. One larger piece on the right, a smaller piece on the left, and two strips to divide the two main pieces. Use a border punch on one of the divider strips if desired. Cut out a monster friend and add to the front of your card as well as a sticker sentiment. Use your Bats die, layer with two pieces of black cardstock to cut six bats at once. Glue two of the bats to the front of the card, save the others for the inside. Use a white pen to create swirls around your card.
Inside: Cut two pieces of patterned paper to fit onto the top and bottom portions of your card. Glue the bottom piece down. For the top piece, add adhesive just to the bottom of your cut paper and adhere to your card to hold it in place (we’ll glue the rest down later). Add swirls around the entire card with white pen. Cut a web and two spiders using the Spider & Spiderweb Pop-Up Die. Attach the web to the card using die instructions and glue dots. On the upper portion of your card, use a paper piercer to create a hole through the patterned paper only using the hole in the web as a guide. Attach brad through hole. Add adhesive to the card base underneath the patterned paper and press down. Cut out a spider friend and attach to web using a glue dot as well as the two spiders you cut from the die. Glue down three of your bats and save the extra bat for another project. Add a coordinating sticker to your web tip that is on the lower portion of your card and stamp sentiment.
Other: cardstock, Halloween themed patterned papers and stickers, brad, white pen, sentiment stamp, stamping ink, border punch, paper piercer, glue dots.
