Let's Get Batty!

Hello, Friends!

Halloween is fast approaching!  Pumpkin patches are popping up everywhere in our area.  {Although, in Southern CA, that means the throw out some hay and put pumpkins on the a parking lot!}  ;)

This card by Gretchen Schmidt is sure to delight anyone who receives it!

Directions - Cut all the pieces for bat including eyes, ears, and wings. Ink the edges of all your cut pieces. Assemble all the bat pieces according to package directions and set aside.
Outside: Fold a 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” card base, making the extra folds necessary for center of card according to package directions. Cut two papers to fit the front of your card, use border punches on edges and glue the two pieces together. Wrap and tie ribbon around those two pieces and adhere to the front of your card. Stamp sentiment onto coordinating paper, cut out and glue to front. Use Bats die cut to create three bats out of gray cardstock, ink edges, and glue to card front.
Inside: Create decorative edges using border punches onto two pieces of paper, adhere to inside of your card. Recrease folds if necessary. Glue assembled bat into the fold of your card. Add wings and ears. Use a white pen to create eyes on eye pieces and add to bat front. Cut three more small bats using die, ink edges, and glue to the inside of your card.
Other: Bazzill cardstock, Oct31 papers (Fancy Pants), border punches (Fiskars), white pen, Licorice Premium Dye Ink (by Stephanie Barnard for Colorbox), ribbon.
Happy Cardmaking!
