Little Black Dress Birthday Card

Hello, Friends!

Here's a great birthday card for your BFF!  Designed by Cara, it is sure to make your friend smile!

Instructions: Cut cardstock to size to form a card base. Hand-cut a window or use a Movers & Shapers die set to do this for you. Apply clear watermark ink to the Damask plate. Apply a dark-colored pigment ink to the same letterpress plate, carefully place a piece of cardstock in the same color as the card on top of the plate and deboss using your Big Shot, BIGkick or Vagabond machine. Remove the debossed cardstock and set aside to dry. Cut the cardstock to the same size as the card front and cut a window in the card to match the card. Adhere in place. Cut a piece of patterned paper and adhere inside the card. Stamp a sentiment on cardstock, trim to size, embellish with thread and adhere inside the card. Cut Dress w/Stand from cardstock and shiny paper using the eclips machine and Happi cartridge. Layer materials and adhere to the card front. Embellish with a jewel.

If using regular cardstock with the Ink-its letterpress plate and not getting the impression you desire, place a thin piece of craft foam between the top cutting pad and your paper. Use pigment ink layered over clear watermark ink and medium weight (or heavier) watercolor paper - 100 lbs or more - for best results.
