Wearable ART!

Birds are the *hot* thing/shape right now.  You see them everywhere!  Here's a great tank top idea by Debi...

Using a fabric ink pad, stamp splattered image on knit top. Hand or machine-stitch a strip of netting and a piece of lace to T-shirt. Stamp sentiment onto a torn strip of muslin fabric. Stitch onto shirt. Stitch around outside of sentiment. Cover sentiment with netting and stitch in place. Embellish with buttons. Die-cut Bird from thick poly foam. Adhere foam image to clear acrylic block with strong tape. Use a brayer to apply a thin layer of acrylic paint to foam Bird. Stamp Bird onto another piece of muslin fabric and allow to dry. Cut out Bird, leaving a small border of fabric around image. Stitch Bird onto netting area of shirt. Stitches should border edge of Bird. Add gathered lace and trim to bottom of Bird and secure by stitching in place. Add a small piece of trim to Bird’s head. Add flower and rhinestone button to shirt.

Other Supplies: Acrylic Paint, Acrylic Stamp Block, Brayer, Buttons, Cotton Fabric-Muslin, Fabric Ink Pad, Gathered Trim, Lace, Netting, Poly Foam-Thick, Rhinestone Button, Splattered Stamp or Similar, Strong Tape, T-Shirt, Trim

Happy Crafting!
