Yes, we do fabric!

Last week when I was on The Shopping Channel (Canada), I was asked over and over "Does the Big Shot cut fabric?"  The answer is YES!  ;)

Our steel rule dies do cut fabric!  Here's a great project by Debi a that showcases this technique...

Instructions:
Apply fusible web to a variety of fabric as indicated on manufacturer’s instructions. Die-cut Heart and Swirls out of fabric and adhere to the front of a baby outfit. Die-cut large Butterfly two times out of fabric and once out of batting. Sew batting between fabric Butterflies with right sides facing out. Die-cut smaller Butterfly out of coordinating fabric and adhere to large Butterfly. Attach to the back of the outfit by stitching down the middle of the Butterfly. Embellish with ribbon.

Supplies:

Other Supplies: Baby Outfit, Batting, Fabric, Fusible Web, Iron, Ribbon, Sewing Machine

With the help of your Big Shot and Sizzix dies, you can make your own embellished clothing!  ;)

Happy Crafting!

Hugs,
Stephanie

  2. I indeed have cut hearts and stars with my best friend the Big Shot. I love the versatility of this machine. The fabric can be used to make flowers, among other things. Use the heart to cut paper to make roses. This is my favorite machine to use for everything. i often use the scalloped circle to cut many shapes at a time, making it easy to do my Kusudama frilly flowers. Thanks Sizzix!!!
