Create your own lace die-cut paper with one die

Hi to all of my Sizzix friends,

I am excited to show all of you how to create some "outside of the box" items using the Sizzlits Decorative Strip Heart, Lace Die by Scrappy Cat. At first glance, this cute Decorative Strip will cut a lace heart-shaped strip for you to use as an accent on your papercrafting projects. But if you take another look, you will find that you can create a couple items that you may not have come to mind. Let me show you. You can create your own heart-shaped lace cardstock using just one die and a sheet of paper.

How cute is this? This idea may surprise you even more. You can create a fun dimensional flower using the inside heart shapes from the die.

Who would have thought that you can create a flower using a heart-shaped die? The Scrappy Cat dies can offer you some fun surprises. Here are the instructions on how to create each look:

Heart-Shaped Lace Cardstock:

1. Cut several strips of cardstock using the Sizzlits Decorative Strip Heart, Lace Die by Scrappy Cat.
2. Line them up next to each other and adhere either to the background paper. So simple!

Decorative Dimensional Flower:

Fold each heart in half once. Then diagonal fold each side of the heart so that the sides bend down. These folds make the petals.

Note: I used Black Magic cardstock by Core'dinations. One side is black, and the other side is mauve.

Adhere the points of the four hearts together. Layer with four more hearts. Add a rhinestone in the center of the flower.
